POSTPONEMENT REQUESTS: Postponement requests MUST be made FIVE (5) BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR to your date of service. To request a postponement via email, please identify your email in the subject line with POSTPONEMENT REQUEST and your BADGE NUMBER. Submit your email to: jury@shasta.courts.ca.gov. To request a postponement via phone, please dial 530-225-5701. Follow the prompts for postponing your juror summons date. If you are unable or ineligible to postpone yourself through the automated phone system, you may contact us at 530-245-6789 and follow the prompts for Jury Service. Due to the high call volume, if no one is available to take your call at that time, you may leave a voice mail message and we will return your call. Please do not leave more than one voice mail message. You may also request a postponement via email, fax, U.S. mail, and/or in person. Requests received on the day of service or within 5 business days of service will be denied UNLESS accompanied with a legal doctors excuse.
Make arrangements for personal matters as you *may be* at the courthouse for a full business day, which could end between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. Children under 18 are NOT permitted.
PARK IN THE "B" PARKING LOT OR IN THE "PERMIT PARKING OK" PARKING LOTS AS SHOWN ON YOUR SUMMONS. BRING YOUR POSTCARD SUMMONS WITH YOU TO THE JURY ASSEMBLY ROOM. Do NOT park in the metered parking or the signed limited parking hours, unless you have a disability placard. JURY SERVICE DOES NOT OVERRIDE THE PARKING METERS. Please plan on arriving early to find adequate parking.
