Please be advised the following items are not allowed in the courthouse: knives, scissors, sharp objects, weapons of any kind, pepper spray and glass items, such as bottles, cups, etc.
Postponement requests: Postponement requests MUST be made FIVE (5) BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR to your date of service. NEW INFORMATION: Requests may now be made through the IVR phone system by dialing 530-225-5701. Follow the prompts for postponing your juror summons date. If you are unable or ineligible to postpone yourself through the automated phone system, you may contact us at 530-245-6789 and select option number 1 (one), then option number 1 (one) for Jury Service then option number 0 (zero). If no one is available to take your call at that time, you may leave a voice mail message and we will return your call. Please do not leave more than one voice mail message. You may also request a postponement via email, U.S. mail, and/or in person. Requests received on the day of service will be denied UNLESS accompanied with a legal doctors excuse. To request a postponement via email, please identify your email in the subject line with POSTPONEMENT REQUEST. Submit your email to:
Please make arrangements for personal matters as you *may be* at the courthouse for a full business day, which could end between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. Children under 18 are NOT permitted.
Please log on to the "Jury Duty Portal" using the web address for the court: to complete your online profile including the section regarding reimbursement for mileage, the daily fee, your email address and phone number. PLEASE NOTE: You are unable to edit your date of birth. If you do not have computer access, you may complete the above process in the Jury Assembly Room.
